Introduction

The S3-PCIE2XG212 is 2-port SATA III (6 Gbps) to PCI Express x2 Gen2 Host Card .

The S3-PCIE2XG212 is Serial ATA Advantage HCI controller, bridges PCI Express Gen2 x2 to two ports of Serial ATA 6Gbps, enables Serial ATA PHY up to 6Gbps high speed interface, supports SRIS (Separate Refclk Independent SSC) function, complies with Serial ATA Revision 3.2 Specification. S3-PCIE2XG212 can be applied on PC, servers, IPC, storage devices, and communication applications.

Note: For the best performance (5.0 Gbps), S3-PCIE2XG212 should be installed in a PCIe Gen 2 compliant slot in the host computer.  Most computers have PCIe Gen 2 (5.0 Gbps) throughput on x8 or x16 slots. A PCIe Gen 1 compliant slot reaches up to 2.5 Gbps throughput.
