FWBx2-PCI6402 is a dual OHCI 1.1 compliant IEEE 1394b to PCI-64bit host adapter.

FWBx2-PCI6402 is designed with two key components.

  • PCI-to-PCI bridge (64bit/66Mhz).
  • Texas Instruments TSB82AA2B --- IEEE 1394b OHCI-Lynx Controller.
  • Texas Instruments TSB81BA3D --- IEEE 1394b 3-port Cable Transceiver/Arbiter.

The PCI-to-PCI bridge takes advantages of the 266MB/s burst rate of primary PCI bus and the secondary PCI bus interface is connected to two IEEE 1394b OHCI-Lynx host controllers. This solution provides full PCI and dual 1394b functionality and performance.

FWBx2-PCI6402 delivers the performance and connectivity required for servers and I/O demanding applications such as CD-ROM servers, Video-On-Demand, database servers, workstations, high-end desktops, software RAID sub systems, and image systems. On a single PCI slot, connecting up to 126 devices. It transfers data rate up to 100 MBytes/second per independent channel and takes advantages of the 266MB/s burst rate of PCI bus to provide unmatched I/O performance.
