The SFP10G-PCIE4XG201 complies with common 10GbE SFP+ optical & Direct Attached Copper modules.  With only 4.12 Watts maximum power consumption (including the optical module in full duplex), the SFP10G-PCIE4XG201 offers the lowest power consumption and the best cost solution in the market today. Targeted at high-end Workstations and low cost Application Servers, which seek to service the increasing demand of higher network bandwidth, while maintaining low power and cost budgets.

Note:
For the best performance (5.0 Gbps), SFP10G-PCIE4XG201 should be installed in a PCIe Gen 2 compliant slot in the host computer.  Most computers have PCIe Gen 2 (5.0 Gbps) throughput on x8 or x16 slots.
A PCIe Gen 1 compliant slot reaches up to 2.5 Gbps throughput.

10Gb/s SFP+ optical transceivers are designed for use in 10-Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fiber. They are compliant with SFF-8431, SFF-8432, IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/SW and 10G Fibre Channel 1200-Mx-SN-I. Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472. The SFP+ module is a "limiting module", i.e., it employs a limiting receiver.
